Colour hunting with A'muze Fun on your playground!
Did you know that our play equipment is not only beautiful? But also provide fun learning moments?
A fun and active game that encourages children to move around more on the playground using the A'muze Fun playground equipment is ‘Colour Hunt’.
Aim of the game:
Children run and move around the playground to complete different tasks linked to the colourful A'muze Fun play equipment.
Equipment:
- Various A'muze Fun playthings, such as the Boxx & Bench, or Ludomodules, which are available in various colours.
- Cards or chips in the same colours as the playthings.
Preparation:
1. Place the A'muze Fun toys scattered around the playground.
2. Divide the children into small groups or let them play individually, depending on the number of participants.
3. Give each group or child a set of cards or chips corresponding to the colours of the playthings.
Game rules:
1. At the start of the game, the children draw a card or token from their set.
2. They then run to the toy with the colour corresponding to the drawn card.
3. At the toy, they perform a predetermined task. For example:
- Red toy: Make five jumps over the toy.
- Blue toy: Crawl under the toy and run around it.
- Green toy: Balance on part of the machine for ten seconds.
4. After completing the task, they return to the starting point and draw a new card.
5. The game continues until all cards have been used or a predetermined time has elapsed.
Variations:
- Introduce additional challenges, such as performing the tasks backwards or on one leg.
- Work with a point system where certain tasks earn more points.
- Make the game cooperative by having children work together in pairs and help each other with the tasks.
This game not only promotes physical activity, but also encourages cooperation, colour recognition and the creative use of the A'muze Fun playground equipment.
